Agate

Agate forms in layers, filling a cavity from the outside in, which is why a slice looks like a contour map. Iris agate is the one to hold up to a light: cut thin enough, the bands throw a rainbow.

Grape agate breaks that rule in the best way. Instead of banding it grows as clusters of tiny botryoidal spheres, usually purple or green, and it looks exactly like its name.

Where mine come from. Brazil for the slices, Indonesia for the grape agate.

What people reach for it for. Agate has a long reputation as a steadying, grounding stone.

Forms I carry. tower, slice, cluster, pendant, heart.

I also send agate off for aura treatment. Read the aura guide to see what that does to it.
