Fluorite

Fluorite is the one I hand people when they say they do not like crystals. It grows in cubes, and it often bands several colours through a single piece, so you get purple sitting against green against water-clear.

It is softer than quartz, so it polishes to a lovely glassy finish but it will scratch if you keep it in a pocket with keys. Fujian fluorite from China is usually the most colourful.

Where mine come from. Fujian province in China, and some from Mexico.

What people reach for it for. Fluorite is traditionally the study stone, the one people keep on a desk.

Forms I carry. cluster, heart, tower.

I also send fluorite off for aura treatment. Read the aura guide to see what that does to it.
